Make a food marker for your party
Okay, so most of you know that I have a wedding shower coming up this weekend.
There is no end to the details that run through my mind at all hours of the day…and night!
Can you say sleep deprived? Crazily laugh here…hahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha.
I may be crazy but I can still create stuff.
So as I was walking through Hobby Lobby on Monday I saw they had their stamps 50 percent off. I bought a few in hopes that they would make my food markers look perty!
I bought a pack of 12 folded card stock in orange (1/2 off too)! Then purchased an ink pad in fushia (yup, 1/2 off)!
I stamped each card with a swirl and heart on the bottom. Then I tried using a sharp black marker to write the food items but the card stock had a bit of texture to it and I didn’t like that it wasn’t written smoothly.
So, I pulled out a sheet of shiny photo paper and loaded my printer. Went into Photoshop and made an oval outline with a thick line in fushia then created a text box inside and used a pretty script to write each item on the menu. Because I used a very thick outline on the oval, I just printed it and cut around it keeping the fushia line. Then used some double stick tape and taped it to the center front of each card. Ta da! Aren’t they cute?
Oh, did you notice the silver mason jar on the left with fushia and orange straws??…of course you did.
I couldn’t resist and added some fushia crystals on the cards to give them some “woot woot”! An inexpensive project but looks great. I probably spent under $10 for the food markers and I still have 6 blanks left. You can do this for any occasion on the very cheap and everyone always wonders where you bought them. I like that.
