Location
Our wedding weekend will take place at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre (52535 Range Rd 212, Uncas, AB).
We have the lodge booked from Friday evening at 7 pm until noon on Sunday. Our hope is that you will want to enjoy the weekend at a nature preserve with us, enjoying the comforts of the lodge and the company of others.
Free parking is available. See the Google Map for directions.
Learn more on the Strathcona Wilderness Centre lodge website.
Accomodations
The lodge has a full kitchen, several bathrooms with showers, two fireplaces, an outdoor firepit, and bunk house style accommodations for up to 39 guests to lodge with us. We will take RSVPs on a first-come-first-served basis and will update this page if space runs out. Due to fire regulations, we are not able to have overnight guests past this number.
Those who spend the night are asked to bring bedding (sheet, pillow, and sleeping bag/blankets) for their bunk. The mattresses are classified as firm. If you are travelling by plane...we can help with your bedding to lighten your luggage - just ask!
Those who wish to find accomodations in the city are welcome to do so. Sherwood Park has the closest hotel facilities.

Gifts: What do you get the girls who have everything?
Let's be real. We are women in our 40s. We are attempting to combine two households. We are closer to retirement than to childhood. Downsizing is in our not-so-distant future. We have too much freaking stuff!
The best gift you can give us is your presence at our wedding so you can be witness to our loving commitment to one another. We value our friends and family and want to spend the weekend with you.
If you feel the need...the desire...the obligation to offer a gift, take this into consideration:
First, read the paragraphs above. We sincerely just want you to come and have fun with us!
If you are still reading,
We could use a little help with set up on Friday and clean up on Sunday, so a gift of time and elbow grease is appreciated. Reach out if you are interested in learning how you can help.
We have decided that we want to support two charities: The Edmonton Food Bank and SACE (Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton). If you'd like to contribute to our charitable causes, we will have jars set up on the weekend for collections to those charities.
We are planning a honeymoon in January. If you would like to contribute to that, we will be very appreciative.
Love you all and can't wait to see you!
Allie and Kerri
